Session 1 - Server Infrastructure
More control, higher availability and greater flexibility. That’s the promise of Windows Server Code Name“Longhorn”. In this session, we’ll examine the new “server core”, changes to Active Directory directory services and improvements in overall management and configuration of your servers. We’ll also explore the new resource management capabilities and update existing virtualization technologies and introduce future technology with Windows Server Virtualization.
Session 2 - Infrastructure Management (Virtual)
Virtualization helps you efficiently distribute the workload amongst physical servers as workloads demand. This session will be a deep dive into the workload of Windows Server Virtualization and how it stacks up in the marketplace. But with virtualization comes management requirements - so you need a complete management solution for managing your physical and virtual systems. This session also explores how System Centre Virtual Machine Manager handles the virtual world and integrates virtually seamlessly into the overall management picture.
Session 3 - Infrastructure Management (Physical)
Infrastructure management needs to be more than reactive. Dynamically moving workloads across physical systems require more detailed information and triggers to start automated processes. When you combine System Centre Virtual Machine Manager with System Center Operations Manager, you have the complete solution. This session is an exploration of what’s possible when you combine your physical and virtual management solutions into one.
Session 4 - Holistic Security and Network Health
When you combine technologies from Windows Server Code Name“Longhorn” with the Forefront security line, you can get an accurate picture of your network’s health. Longhorn will be a key component in helping protect your network with Network Access Protection. Longhorn will also bring new levels of comfort and security to your branch offices with Read Only Domain Controllers and BitLocker-based technologies. This session will tie everything together to show you where your future server room is heading.
